One agent to install, update, monitor and remediate endpoint security and connectivity software. |
The Extend360 Agent is a software agent that runs on laptops and other mobile devices. It includes:
Based on software and policy information sent from the Extend360 Management Center, the Extend360 Agent can install security software applications on mobile devices. If the applications are already present on the devices, the Extend360 Agent can integrate with them.
The Extend360 Agent continually scans systems to ensure that required software is installed and running, that threat signature and other files are up-to-date, and that the registry and other settings are correct.
Persistent Policy Enforcement™ includes:
Fiberlink’s Persistent Policy Enforcement is an “always on” service that operates from system start-up to shutdown, even when end-users aren’t connected to the corporate network, to ensure that information on the laptop is always protected.
The Extend360 Agent™ continuously assesses the security status of remote computers. The software can determine if:
Administrators can define what conditions constitute non-compliance, and what actions to take such as:
A “network lockdown” feature can restrict non-compliant or partially-compliant systems to specified IP addresses or IP ranges. This can be used to direct non-compliant computers to a remediation area or to network segments that contain only public information.
These features ensure that enterprise networks are protected from non-compliant mobile devices, and that the information on the mobile computer is always protected.
The Extend360 Agent™ gives employees a simple connectivity experience, reduces calls to the help desk, and lets administrators set the right balance between connectivity cost and performance for each type of employee.
The “Active Transport Notification” feature detects and displays all connectivity options available to the laptop, including all wireless connections and Wi-Fi hotspots within range, so employees can select the best available connection.
The Extend360 Agent™ automatically takes all of the steps needed to establish a secure connection, including using a phone book to find the nearest dial-up access point, checking to make sure that the computer is in compliance with the enterprise’s security policies, and initiating the appropriate VPN client.
Configuration and policy changes are entered in the Extend360 Management Center™, which distributes them to the appropriate mobile computers. The Extend360 Agent™ on each computer then updates:
