MaaS360™ reduces the cost of supporting mobile workers, improves security, simplifies compliance, and allows IT staff to spend more time on strategic projects. |
MaaS360™ is Fiberlink’s Mobility as a Service application for managing and reporting on mobile devices. It provides a single portal to set policies for connectivity and security applications. Reports provide visibility into wireless and 3G connectivity, policy enforcement, compliance, security, and cost data on distant systems.
Fiberlink’s MaaS360 is a web-based application that makes it easy to manage
hundreds of policies and configuration settings and distribute them to systems in the field.
Network and IT operations staff can determine what connectivity and remote access services,
such as Wi-Fi, 3G mobile data, broadband and dial-up services, are available to each user group.
Operations and security staff can set policies for dozens of endpoint security and data
protection applications on laptops. They can also enforce the use of VPNs, data encryption, data
leak prevention and other technologies to protect confidential information.
MaaS360 can configure Extend360 agents on laptops to continuously monitor and remediate
security applications, for example to restart applications if they are turned off and to
automatically update virus signature files.
MaaS360 collects data from laptops and mobile devices in the field and gives
administrators continuous visibility into compliance with corporate policies.
A management dashboard presents key data in easy-to-read graphical charts.
Connectivity reports provide detailed information on connectivity data across Wi-Fi, 3G,
broadband and dial-up connections, with information on types and durations of connections and
connection problems.
Policy enforcement reports give a comprehensive picture of which devices are in compliance
with corporate policies and which are not, what applications caused devices to violate policies,
and what remediation actions have been taken to restore compliance.
Data protection reports provide detailed information for data encryption, data leak
prevention, and backup and recovery applications.
Financial reports track connectivity expenses and identify high-cost practices, and can be
used to bill networking costs back to departments.
Besides improving efficiency, MaaS360 reports can provide compliance data to auditors in a
few minutes that otherwise would take days or weeks to compile.
