Fiberlink Named Finalist in 2008 CODiE Awards

Company's Unique Extend360 Mobility Platform Stands Out for Control and Ease-of-Use

April 9, 2008

Blue Bell, Pa – April 9, 2008 – Fiberlink Communications Corporation, a trusted provider of software and services that enable enterprise mobility, today announced it was selected as a 2008 CODiE Award finalist. Established in 1986 by the Software and Information Industry Association (SIIA), the CODiE Awards program is designed to showcase the software industry’s finest products and services and honor excellence in corporate and philanthropic achievement.

The CODiE Awards are judged in three rounds. The first includes representatives from the software and information industry trade press, mainstream technology writers, analysts, consultants and subject-matter experts. Fiberlink was selected by this group of industry professionals as a finalist in the category of “Best Security Solution.” The second and third round of voting involves all SIIA members, which is why the CODiE award is considered a peer-recognition award.

“Competition is tough this year and that makes selection as a CODiE Finalist a real achievement,” said Ken Wasch, SIIA president. “All the companies on this year’s list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition.”

“Fiberlink is honored to be recognized by our peers alongside some of the finest software providers in the industry,” said Jim Sheward, chief executive officer of Fiberlink. “With so many workers mobile today, the Internet has become the corporate network making security an even greater challenge for organizations. Fiberlink’s Extend360 Mobility Platform stands out because it enables IT to maintain control over mobile devices and makes it easier for mobile workers to remain in compliance with IT policy regardless of their connection to the traditional corporate network. Unlike other security solutions that inspect devices only when they are accessing the corporate network, Extend360 protects laptops by assessing and remediating security applications from start-up to shut-down.”

The 2008 CODiE Awards will be presented at a gala event on May 20 at the historic Palace Hotel in San Francisco, CA. For a complete list of the 2008 CODiE Award finalists, visit www.siia.net/codies/2008/finalists.asp.
