Fiberlink Presents Mobile NAC Approach to Protecting Mobile Workers at the Houston Data Connectors Conference

August 1, 2007

WHAT:  Matt Adell, senior systems engineer for Fiberlink Communications, the trusted expert for simple, secure mobile working, will address the security challenges posed by the “mobile blind spot” presented by laptop users and the confidential data they carry beyond the protection of corporate firewalls, with potential exposure to viruses, malware and hackers.

Adell will show organizations how to shield at-risk mobile workers against hackers, viruses, spyware, the loss or theft of laptops and other threats to mobile information.

Fiberlink Mobile NAC provides all of the core network access control functions, including policy management, endpoint assessment, quarantine, enforcement and remediation. However, unlike other NAC products that inspect mobile devices only when they try to access the corporate LAN, Fiberlink Mobile NAC protects laptops by assessing and remediating security applications at all times, from start-up to shutdown.

The Data Connectors Houston Tech-Security Conference brings together private industry, government decision makers and technical enthusiasts in the fields of information and network security. Working together with industry leaders, associations, publications and key executives, Data Connectors produces intensive, multi-level conference programs designed to showcase the broad spectrum of new and emerging products and services to solve business challenges.

WHO:  Fiberlink Senior Systems Engineer and Certified Information Systems Security Professional Matt Adell has almost 20 years of technical experience in the remote access industry. Currently, he focuses on developing network access control and policy enforcement solutions for Fortune 1000 enterprise clients. Prior to joining Fiberlink, Adell held similar positions including: senior systems engineer, North America Channel Sales at InfoExpress, Inc., senior engineer at Electronic Data Systems, and assistant vice president of information security specializing in mobile access services for Bank of America.
