Fiberlink Presents Best Methods to Manage Security Risks at CAMP IT Conference

March 14, 2007

WHAT: Vulnerabilities introduced by laptops and remote devices should be considered when companies plan for corporate data protection. Mobile devices are the cause of the most highly profiled data breaches, compromising critical data and affecting hundreds, if not thousands, of individuals' private information. Additionally, organizations must protect against increasingly sophisticated hackers, who often act as part of an organized cyber-gang of criminals bypassing anti-virus and firewall protection. Once inside, a hacker has full access to the corporate network, stealing confidential information and destroying important information assets. Strong network protection requires a myriad of security precautions against theft and hackers as well as continuous patching to stop thieves from finding vulnerabilities in existing security software.

Fiberlink’s Jon Friedman will participate in a SecureWorld Expo panel discussion on today’s endpoint security solutions. Fiberlink lends its expertise in managed mobility for enterprises, keeping their networks secure and their employees productive. Fiberlink’s network and data security services help organizations shield at-risk mobile workers against hackers, viruses, spyware, the loss or theft of laptops and other threats to mobile information.

Participants in this discussion include executives from IBM Internet Security Systems, Altiris, Barracuda Networks, Configuresoft and the CTG Group.

SecureWorld Expo is a regional conference aimed at fostering communication between security professionals and technology leaders.
