A History Of Innovation

From the beginning Fiberlink has been an innovator in finding ways for enterprises to leverage network technologies to solve business problems.

Fiberlink's initial business centered on integrating voice and data services for enterprises. But Fiberlink's founders and engineers quickly grasped the growing potential of IP networking - the protocol for Internet traffic - as a business productivity tool. In 1998, Fiberlink created a managed virtual private network (VPN) service while the VPN market was still in its infancy.
 
In 2001, Fiberlink was the first to integrate VPNs with distributed firewalls in a single commercialized solution.

Since then, Fiberlink has continued to set the pace in the mobile security and access market by introducing an ever-expanding suite of mobile security and connectivity services.

In 2003 Fiberlink launched the award-winning Extend360 Mobility Platform, a unique laptop management and compliance platform for endpoint security and wireless services. The Extend360 Mobility Platform makes it easy for enterprises to deploy, configure, update and remediate endpoint security and connectivity software applications on mobile and remote computers.

In 2007 Fiberlink introduced the Extend360 Mobility Platform 2.0, a major enhancement of the Extend360 Mobility Platform and the industry's most complete Enterprise Mobility Platform. The company also announced Mobile NAC, the first Network Access Control solution designed specifically for the mobile workforce.

Fiberlink is also an innovator and leader in applying an "on-demand" hosted software model to mobile security and connectivity software applications. This model helps enterprises speed up application deployments, increase the reliability of mobile security and connectivity, reduce operational costs, and allow IT organizations to focus on strategic projects instead of routine management tasks.
